Leen’s Lodge

There’s no prettier place in America than the deep grouse hunting and woodcock woods of eastern Maine in mid-October. Numerous logging roads, snowmobile trails and classic abandoned farmlands offer the needed terrain and edges to sustain the large population of woodcock, grouse and other birds. All hunting fans won’t regret spending a few days at the lodge as it offers lots of possibilities that surely will satisfy every need.

The Bradford Camps

Offering endless old skid roads through the woods to explore with your dog and the tree growth varies dramatically from dense softwood thickets to old growth hardwood to young birch, beech, and maple groves, all excellent habitat for partridge. Terrain varies widely from lowland dark spruce/fir growth, to open hardwood ridges. Most of the hunting is on old logging roads that are not passable by vehicle any more. The walking is fairly easy, and the edge habitat and gravel attract the birds. A guide will come in hand while hunting, our camp offers some of the best guidance available.
